How it works

MOCO TOUCH

Touch uses Near Field Communications (NFC) phones, which read RFID tags. The technology that is NFC has provided something of a leap forward in the provision of time and attendance solutions. In a nutshell, the technology enables an RFID tag to be read by a mobile phone.

When a phone is touched on an RFID tag, the phone clearly beeps and vibrates, so the holder knows that the two devices have communicated. The phone reads the unique ID number of the tag, and sends a message back to the server, using the mobile network (GPRS, 3G, or potentially HSDPA), that the person logged onto the phone has touched that unique tag. Managers, having associated the tag with a location or check-point, will know that person X has visited check-point Y.

Tags can be strongly mounted to virtually any surface, including wood, masonry, metal and glass. They are normally fixed with screw or nail fixings or glue, or sticky paper label tags can be supplied which are easily mounted on glass. Please do note however that if you wish to mount tags on metal you will need a special tag. Slightly more costly, but let us know at point of purchase and we'll include them in with your initial 20 free tags.
