Voice Over Internet
Protocol (VOIP) is an emerging technology which enables calls to be
made over data networks. Town and Country are working with our carrier
partners to ensure we can provide a wide range of VOIP services.
Traditionally VOIP has been seen as low quality,
cheap calls made over the public internet but this is all changing in
2005. Our major partners are investing heavily in upgrading their existing
PSTN networks to support VOIP calls and this will result in a range
of new products and features being made available during the coming
months.
Not only will VOIP reduce inter office costs and calls to the public
network, but it will revolutionise the way companies operate. Features
that traditionally were only available through expensive PBX and hardware
solutions will now be available on IP Centrex services.
