Marketing Numbers
are known as Number Translation Services (NTS) or Non Geographic Numbers
(NGN) and provide a range of numbers to handle incoming calls, designed
to suit your specific business needs.
By using these numbers, you can enhance your customer services, create
a national presence, measure your marketing activity or generate additional
revenue for your company.
Numbers that can be provided are:
Freephone - 0800, 0808
Callers can make a free call to you from anywhere in the UK (mobiles
and overseas calls are chargeable). You pay for the entire call. These
numbers are typically used for stimulating customer contact as the call
is free.
Lo-call Rate - 0845
Callers are charged at their Service Provider's local rate, regardless
of where they call from in the UK. You pay the remainder of the call
charge. These numbers are typically used for measuring marketing activity.
National Rate - 0870
Callers are charged at their Service Provider's national rate, regardless
of where they call from in the UK. You pay nothing and receive a commission
for every call dialled to that number. These numbers are typically used
to subsidise other costs associated such as customer services, brochure
lines
International Toll Free (ITF) - (number
dependent on country)
Numbers that allow you to provide Freephone access to your customers
from abroad.
Universal International Free Number
(UIFN) - (number dependent)
A single number that allows you to provide Freephone access to your
customers from abroad.
Calls received to these numbers can be delivered according
to your requirements based upon the following enhanced call plans :
Single translation
The call to your 08* is delivered to a single telephone number, i.e
calls to 08* number are delivered to your office phone.
Call Forwarding
The call to your 08* number is delivered to a single telephone number,
if that is busy or unanswered then it is delivered to an alternative.
This call plan allows the call to attempt delivery up to 4 numbers.
Time Dependent Routing
Calls to the 08* number are routed according to time of day, day of
week, date of month.eg. During opening hours calls can be delivered
to your office, and then automatically be delivered to an alternative
number when the office is closed. The routing can be programmed for
weekends, and even bank holidays
Region Based Routing
Calls to the 08* Number can be delivered to a destination, according
to where the caller is from. e.g Call to the 08* number from Liverpool,
is routed to a store in Liverpool, and a call from Cambridge is delivered
to a Cambridge store
The routing options can also be utilised with other inbound
services to enhance call handling and the customer experience. |
